Finally, finally, we made another artist collaboration for our Fendor-Bendors.
Marlous Tode once ordered a Fendor-Bendor through the webshop, and sent us an e-mail right after, asking if she could include one more in her order. In her next e-mail, she asked when she could make graphics for the fender. That was in April, and now, here's her version:
Marlous is from Breda, the Dutch capital of graphic design, where she works as a designer and illustrator for her Studio Flying Colours. Oh yes, she also founded the on-line Gallery Pepper. Sounds like a busy bee. Anyway, it has been great working with her and I really like what she made. It's absolutely secret still, but it could very well be that we see more work by Marlous in our shop.
Martine used to rent a workspace in the same building where we are located, together with her boyfriend Louis Reith. I started working with Louis first, more about that soon, and this is how I got introduced to Martine and her work.
She started her career in fashion design, but is now focusing on her autonomous work, doing gorgeous and highly detailed drawings and paintings. Or, as her website bio says:
".. creating an unlikely universe in the shape of sometimes dark feminine fairy tales, where a deep bond with her inner world comes to life." Well, see for yourself!
