We have still a small amount of the WIT Industries X Koga track frames on stock. And with the Red Hook Crit Barcelona coming closer, it's time to publish some pictures of this frame. According to us, it is still one of the most decent aluminium track frames around. And, we like to use it for fixed gear racing because of the relatively forgiving geometry (relative to most aluminium track frames on the market, that is).
We offer this frame in two different materials: the Aluminium 7005 version and the Scandium Version.
Aluminium 7005 is an alloy that allows for thin walls, creating a light and stiff frame in combination with oversized tubing. The Scandium alloy allows for even thinner wall thickness, making the frame even more lightweight without losing stiffness.
We created an all-black version, painted by Leen Vrolijk, a frame painter from Aalsmeer, The Netherlands. Leen painted many frames for top riders like Leontien van Moorsel. These frames are painted "diamond black", a fine metallic black with a large-spectrum sparkle. Koga is visible on the down tube in an anthracite that is only one tint lighter than the main color.
(Other than in the picture above, we don't offer a brake hole. Use of a front brake is possible by mounting a "Keirin-brake.")
Did I mention that Stefan "Fish" Vis used this bike to win the Red Hook Crit? Yes, he did.
